Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy statement

Introduction:

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various   forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common, the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.

This statement sets out the Corby Rock Mill ULC commitment to a zero-tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking and to acting with integrity in all its dealings, relationships, and supply chains.

Our company:

Corby Rock Mill ULC was founded 1975 and has continuously expanded over 4 decades to become a leader in monogastric and ruminant feed manufacture. At Corby Rock our vision is to manufacture consistent quality feeds, grow in understanding and pioneer methodologies that enhance food safety, for generations to come. We recognize our responsibility in the food safety chain and to better the lives of our customers, our staff and communities we serve, and to inspire others to do the same.

Our supply chain:

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains. Corby Rock Mill ULC requires all its suppliers adhere to the Corby Rock Mill ULC, Supplier Code of Conduct and operate in compliance with laws, regulations and social customs for the countries they operate in and with all human rights, labour and health and safety regulations.

Our people:

Our company policy is to comply fully with the relevant employment laws and regulations in Ireland at all times. We offer a work environment where there are equal opportunities, fairness, inclusiveness, mutual respect and diversity.

Our policy:

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. We internally review our supply chain to evaluate Modern Slavery and Human trafficking risks and we review all aspects of the supply chain including safety, human trafficking, child labour and other legal requirements.

To ensure clarity regarding the standards we expect from our employees and the suppliers with whom we work, we communicate and require compliance with the following policies by all relevant persons and organisations:

  • Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure
  • Equal Opportunity Policy
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Supplier Code of Conduct

Monitoring & compliance:

We conduct annual reviews of our supply chain to ensure compliance with our Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking policy.

New suppliers are required to be approved and become signatories to with our policies.

We reserve the right to conduct audits or request independent audits of suppliers regarding compliance with our policies.

Communication and Training:

This statement is published on our website and we communicate it to our suppliers. Training is provided within our business to ensure information about our commitment to Anti-Slavery and human trafficking is communicated and adhered to.

Continuous improvement:

Corby Rock Mill ULC is committed to reviewing the effectiveness of our policies and procedures regarding equality and the avoidance of Modern Slavery and Human trafficking within our business and in our supply chains.
